UnionPay hợp tác với, VNPay & ECPay để cho phép 26 nghìn Nhà bán nhận thanh toán bằng mã QR UnionPay tại Việt Nam
Hà Nội, 28 Tháng 12 năm 2021 - Mạng thanh toán toàn cầu UnionPay thông báo hợp tác với các tổ chức cung cấp dịch vụ thanh toán tiên tiến hàng đầu như Vietcombank, VNPAY và ECPay để triển khai Mã phản hồi nhanh (QR) UnionPay cho gần 26.000 điểm bán hàng trên khắp Việt Nam. Sự hợp tác này sẽ nâng cao đáng kể mạng lưới 45.000 người bán hiện nay đã chấp nhận Mã QR UnionPay để thanh toán. Các nhà bán vừa, nhỏ và lớn đã kích hoạt thanh toán bằng Mã QR UnionPay trải dài dọc trên nhiều lĩnh vực khác nhau, từ cửa hàng tiện lợi, dịch vụ điện, F&B, chăm sóc sức khỏe, siêu thị nhỏ, cửa hàng tạp hoá, bán lẻ, siêu thị, viễn thông và hơn thế nữa.
UnionPay đã bắt đầu triển khai trên toàn quốc Mã QR tuân thủ EMV dành cho thanh toán tại các điểm bán hàng ở Việt Nam vào năm 2018 để mở đường cho sự đột phá của mình vào các sản phẩm và dịch vụ thanh toán tiên tiến. Cuối năm 2020, UnionPay đã phối hợp với Ngân hàng Quân đội (MB) phát hành Thẻ ghi nợ ảo đầu tiên cho 600 nghìn khách hàng tại Việt Nam, đây là đợt phát hành lớn nhất trên thị trường.
“Hôm nay đánh dấu một cột mốc quan trọng của UnionPay International (UPI) tại Việt Nam. Là mạng thanh toán toàn cầu đầu tiên triển khai Mã QR thanh toán trên toàn quốc, điều này khẳng định cam kết của chúng tôi trong việc mang đến các giải pháp thanh toán tiên tiến cho đất nước nhằm mang lại sự thuận tiện, bảo mật và dễ dàng hơn cho cả người tiêu dùng và người bán. Chúng tôi thấy được rằng đại dịch đã tạo ra sự gia tăng rõ rệt về nhu cầu thanh toán không tiếp xúc như Mã QR thanh toán, vì vậy chúng tôi rất vui được đáp ứng một cách nhanh chóng nhu cầu thanh toán đang thay đổi này của khách hàng tại Việt Nam”, Tổng Giám đốc Huiming Cai, UnionPay International (UPI) Đông Nam Á cho biết.
Để khuyến khích nhiều giao dịch bằng mã QR UnionPay tại các điểm bán hàng, UPI đã triển khai chiến dịch giảm giá ngay lập tức 10% vào ngày 1 tháng 11 năm 2021 tại các điểm bán hàng của VNPAY cho các hạng mục chi tiêu hàng ngày, bao gồm những cái tên quen thuộc như Luôn Tươi Sạch, Medicare, Sói Biển, Sữa Tươi, TH True Mart và nhiều nơi khác.
“VNPAY là một trong những đơn vị cung cấp mã QR thanh toán lớn nhất tại Việt Nam. Chúng tôi rất vui khi 17 doanh nghiệp hàng đầu của chúng tôi với mạng lưới hơn 1.200 cửa hàng trên khắp Việt Nam đang tham gia chương trình khuyến mãi mã UnionPay QR. Giống như UPI, chúng tôi tin rằng việc tăng cường sử dụng tại các điểm chi tiêu hàng ngày là cách tốt nhất để thúc đẩy việc xây dựng thói quen sử dụng các hình thức thanh toán tiên tiến như Mã QR. Chúng tôi mong muốn tiếp tục hợp tác với UPI để cung cấp Mã QR UnionPay cho nhiều người bán VNPAY hơn trong tương lai, ” Giám đốc kinh doanh miền Bắc Nguyễn Ánh Tuyết của VNPAY cho biết.
Theo thống kê từ Cục Viễn thông Việt Nam, cả nước có 132,5 triệu tài khoản thuê bao di động đang hoạt động vào cuối năm 2020, ngay cả khi tổng dân số chưa đến 100 triệu. Vì vậy, thanh toán di động và tiên tiến như Mã QR thanh toán được kỳ vọng sẽ được người tiêu dùng và các doanh nghiệp trên khắp Việt Nam áp dụng, kể cả ở các vùng nông thôn, vùng sâu, vùng xa.
“Phù hợp với tầm nhìn của Ngân hàng Trung ương Việt Nam về một xã hội không dùng tiền mặt, chúng tôi rất vui được hợp tác với UPI để cung cấp mã QR thanh toán tại các điểm giao dịch và đại lý của ECPay trên toàn quốc. Với các hoạt động kinh doanh đa dạng trong lĩnh vực điện, cửa hàng cung cấp, điện thoại, vận tải và nhiều ngành khác, chúng tôi có thể giúp UPI thúc đẩy hệ sinh thái phong phú hơn cho thanh toán bằng Mã QR UnionPay và giúp thúc đẩy việc áp dụng các phương thức thanh toán điện tử, để chuyển đổi đất nước thành một quốc gia không dùng tiền mặt,” Phó tổng giám đốc ECPay LEEO phát biểu.
Việc triển khai số lượng lớn mã QR của UnionPay đến vào thời điểm thích hợp để giảm tiếp xúc cơ thể, khi chính phủ Việt Nam khuyến khích các quy tắc tiêu chuẩn 5K - Khẩu trang - Khử khuẩn - Khoảng cách - Không tập trung - Khai báo y tế - trong đại dịch này.

UnionPay Partners VNPAY & ECPay to Enable 15K Merchants for UnionPay QR Code Payments in VN
Global payment network UnionPay announces partnerships with leading innovative payments acquirers VNPAY and ECPay to deploy UnionPay Quick Response (QR) Code at close to 15K merchants all over Vietnam. These collaborations will significantly enhance the existing 45K merchant network that already accepts UnionPay QR Code for payment. The small, medium and big merchants enabled with UnionPay QR Code payment spans across a wide range of industry verticals ranging from convenient store, electricity service, F&B, healthcare, mini-mart, provision shop, retail, supermarket, telco and more.
UnionPay kickstarted the nationwide deployment of the EMV-compliant QR Code for payments at merchants in Vietnam in 2018 to pave way for its foray into innovative payment products and services. In late 2020, UnionPay collaborated with Military Bank (MB) to issue its first Virtual Debit Card to 600K customers in Vietnam, its largest issuance in the market.
“Today marks a significant milestone for UnionPay International in Vietnam. As the first global payment network to deploy QR Code for payments nationwide, this affirms our commitment to bringing innovative payment solutions to the country to enable greater convenience, security and ease of payment for both consumers and merchants. To encourage more UnionPay QR Code transactions at merchants, UPI launched a 10% instant discount campaign at VNPAY’s merchants for everyday spend categories, including familiar names like Luôn Tươi Sạch, Medicare, Sói Biển, Sữa Tươi, TH True Mart and more.
“VNPAY is one of the biggest QR Code for payment merchant acquirers in Vietnam. According to statistics from Vietnam’s Department of Telecommunications, the country had 132.5 million active mobile subscriber accounts at end 2020, even though total population is less than 100 million. So mobile and innovative payments like QR Code for payment are expected to be readily adopted by Vietnamese consumers and businesses across Vietnam, even in the rural, remote and isolated areas.
