  • Congo (Kinshasa) – Garden of Central Africa

The Democratic Republic of Congo, a country located in the middle of Africa and once known as Zaire, has its capital in Kinshasa, both the largest river harbor in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the largest city in central Africa. Kinshasa features strong tropical custom, flowers in full blossom and shadow of trees, coconut trees, mango trees, palm trees, Baobab trees, countless fruits, as well as exotic flowers and rare herbs. The whole city looks like a large garden, and seems more tranquil and charming against the background of blue sky and white clouds. Why not take your UnionPay cards (card number starting with 62) to discipline temperament in the “Garden of Central Africa”.

  • POS acceptance
All of the Rawbank and ProCredit Bank merchants accept UnionPay cards. Since that some of the merchants have yet to put up the UnionPay signage, cardholders may show their UnionPay cards upon the till and inquire about UnionPay acceptance.

Dual brand cards are not accepted as UnionPay cards in Congo Kinshasa, please use UnionPay single-branded card (card number starting with 62) to enjoy various UnionPay offers.

  • Cash withdrawal
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, UnionPay cards can be accepted for withdrawing US dollar at Rawbank and ProCredit Bank ATMs.

Please refer to the latest government policy on overseas cash withdrawal via UnionPay cards at "Help Center-Card-using Instructions-Refined Card-using Tips". Daily cash withdrawal limit from respective issuers and/or ATM may apply. Please consult your issuer on the possible cap on the amount. You may split your withdrawals into several times which comply with the limit(s).
  • Charges
ATM commission fee consists of two parts:
(1)Service fee charged by the issuer: please consult the issuer for details.
(2)Service fee charged by the ATM acquirer in the Democratic Republic of Congo: some ATMs will charge commission fee, which is charged by the local banks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and which has nothing to do with UnionPay or the issuer.

Cash withdrawal via debit card results in a lower commission fee.
