Djibouti – Living Specimen Geologically

POS acceptance
All of the CSC Bank and The Silk Road International Bank (SIB) merchants accept UnionPay cards. Since that some of the merchants have yet to put up the UnionPay signage, cardholders may show their UnionPay cards upon the till and inquire about UnionPay acceptance.Dual brand cards are not accepted as UnionPay cards in Djibouti, please use UnionPay single-branded card (card number starting with 62) to enjoy various UnionPay offers. -
Cash withdrawal
In Djibouti, UnionPay cards can be accepted forwithdrawing US dollar at CSC Bank ATMs. Most ATMs offer Chinese and Englishinterface.
Pleaserefer to the latest government policy on overseas cash withdrawal via UnionPaycards at "Help Center-Card-using Instructions-Refined Card-using Tips". Daily cashwithdrawal limit from respective issuers and/or ATM may apply. Please consultyour issuer on the possible cap on the amount. You may split your withdrawalsinto several times which comply with the limit(s). -
Charges
ATM commission fee consists of two parts:
(1)Service fee charged by the issuer: please consult the issuer for details.
(2)Service fee charged by the ATM acquirer in Djibouti: some ATMs will charge commission fee, which is charged by the local banks in Djibouti and which has nothing to do with UnionPay or the issuer.
Cash withdrawal via debit card results in a lower commission fee.
